We'll use the Word Engine vocabulary learning system. You need to get 250 correct hits every week. Each week ends at midnight Sunday (but don't wait until Sunday to do this -- sometimes it gets busy and slow Sunday night. You'll learn the most if you study about 10-15 minutes every day!

Register for your class group. You need to register on a regular computer. After you register, you can use a computer or your phone.

You'll need the Group Name and Group Code from the Japanese instructions, above.
WordEngine - New User Sign Up Instructions
IMPORTANT : WordEngine is only on the web, it is not in any App Store.
1. Search “WordEngine” with Yahoo or Google. Or open this link: www.wordengine.jp/go using your browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.)
2. If you received a Login ID and Password from your teacher, open the Login page and enter your Login ID and Password.
3. If you did not get a Login ID and Password from your teacher, open the New User Sign Up page and create a new account. Be sure to enter a working email address or else we cannot help you recover a lost Login ID or Password.
4. Everyone gets a 7-Day Free Trial with full access to WordEngine. After that, you must enter an access code, or purchase a service plan.
5. Next, open the Menu (top left of screen) and open Manage Groups. Enter your full name and student ID number. Write your name like this: Smith Tom, or Suzuki Ken. Do it accurately so your teacher can read it easily.
6. Next, open Join a Group and enter the six-digit Group Code written above. Be careful with zeros and letter o, and number 1 and letter i.
7. Confirm that your teacher’s group appears on your Manage Groups page.
8. Next, open My Page and click GO> next to V-Check Test.
9. V-Check takes about 25 minutes to complete. After that, you can see your V-Check Scores. You can open your V-Check Scores from the Menu page, and you can also download your V-Check Scores to share with others.
10. After V-Check, you can select courses from the Course Library. After that, press GO> next to any course you want to study. If your teacher assigned a special course (see above) then study that one first. If you run out of words to study in a special course, continue studying with General English.
11. Before the free trial is over, open Purchase Information and enter an access code to activate your plan, or enter a Promo Code to get a discount plan. Payments can be made by credit card, bank transfer, or cash at a convenience store. If you pay at a convenience store, it takes two hours before you plan becomes active.
12. Remember to save WordEngine on your home screen for easy access.
13. Each time you visit WordEngine, enter your Login ID and Password and press GO> to study the course you want.
